Martin Indiana Alto
This is a student level horn with a serial number that places it somewhere in the 1950’s. This Martin was done by the same person to the same standard as the last Martin I got and so it required several new pads that fit better. The lacquer is completely stripped and has the start of an attractive matte patina. There were no especially unique features on this saxophone besides the adjustable thumb rest, which is a feature on most (all?) old Martins.
This saxophone plays top to bottom but I would like to get it in proper shape by overhauling it, or at least swapping out all the pads for better fitting ones.
