This material was requested by a customer who happened to have large pieces of ebony to use. Main support made of ebony and given live edge appearance with a chisel and dremel. Zebrawood is the main platform and given ebony corners for a much more angular ‘theme’ than my last saxophone stand project (circular and curvy). This customer has also asked for pearl inlays of the sun, moon, and the orion constellation but I have not heard back from him in a very long time so I have sanded this with 2500 grit paper and given it a french polish. I am considering it finished until I hear back from him or sell it to someone else.
